2024 Year in Review
February 2024 - NOSA Five Star Rating
Between January 31 and February 1, 2024, Thuthugani Contractors underwent its annual NOSA audit and proudly maintained its 5-star rating, a testament to the team’s unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence. The team was celebrated for the great effort.
August 2024: Green Card Achievements
During the 2PA audit in August, Cornelius Motsa and his team earned a green card for their outstanding performance. Additionally, Nomvula Nkosi, Sara Nkosi, and Ntombi Nkambinde were also awarded green cards, making the entire team proud.
Later in the month, Mondi General Manager – Forests (Linda Vilakazi) visited our operations. In our discing operation, he praised the teams’ exceptional operational planning, execution of risk assessments, and understanding of this operation. A commendable recognition of our operational excellence and innovative practices.
September 2024: Breaking Records
On September 17, Thuthugani Contractors was audited by FSC and PEFC, achieving an unprecedented milestone in Mondi and Thuthugani Contractors history. The team secured not one but three green cards, setting a new benchmark for excellence. Teams involved were celebrated and recognized for their incredible efforts.
Enhancing Employee Experiences
In 2024 during winter season, we refurbished our MPATs caravan trailer, installing a TV with Wi-Fi to provide a comfortable and productive workspace for our employees. This enhancement aims to support a positive working environment and encourage collaboration
November 2024: Celebrations and Farewells
In November, we held a fire break burning celebration braai to honour the team’s safe and efficient work. Additionally, we hosted a retirement braai for Mr. AB Mdlalose and Mr. RM Xulu, celebrating their remarkable contributions and wishing them well in their retirement.
December 2024: Year-End Celebrations & Long Service Awards
On December 7, the Thuthugani Group year-end function brought management and staff together to celebrate the year’s successes. Nicky Gwende and Sibusiso Mthembu were recognized for 10 years of service, a milestone reflecting their loyalty and dedication to the organization.
December 11, we celebrated the Conservation team for being the safest team of the year, reinforcing our commitment to a strong safety culture.
Recognizing Excellence - TTG Paulpietersburg Team Braai
On December 12, the TTG Paulpietersburg team came together for Contracts Manager Team Awards celebrating achievements and dedication of its members throughout the year. A key highlight of the evening was the presentation of awards to honour outstanding contributions across various categories.
